About Us
In 1920 Marmeon and Constance Pinder (aka Papa and Nanny) set sail in a sloop from Pinder’s Settlement in Long Island, Bahamas with three small children, Burley, Milton, and Corrine. Looking for a better life and better drinking water for their family. They landed and settled in Riviera Beach where they started their seafood endeavor. Clinton and Helen were born shortly after. Clinton Pinder along with his wife Dorothy, and Clinton's brothers, Milton and Burley, founded Pinder’s Seafood on the waterfront of what is now Sawfish Bay Park in Jupiter. In 1965 they relocated the market to its current location on Old Dixie Highway. Their son Jerry continued the legacy until his untimely passing in 2021, a hundred years in the making. Today Pinder’s Seafood and Marketplace is still family owned. Keeping the family seafood tradition alive and strong is Renee Pinder, Milton’s daughter. You will find Renee at the market every day overseeing all the details that makes Pinder’s Seafood a destination. Don’t be shy…stop in and say hello. Renee is happy to share her family seafood history. Should you have a special request Renee always goes above and beyond to find that one special product to satisfy her customers.
